BEAVERS
Beavers (Castor canadensis) are the largest North American rodent. They are known for their bright orange front (incisor) teeth that grow continuously throughout their life. The incisors are beveled and continuously sharpen through gnawing and chewing during feeding, girdling, and cutting trees.
A beaver presence on your property can be recognized through flooding and removal of plant material, such as trees or garden plants. They use these materials of twigs, leaves, sticks and mud to construct their well known "dams", a distinctive structure built in rivers and streams. Their dams allow them to safely access water, away from predators. But building these dams causes property damage, including flooding, resulting in quite an expense.
Since 2016, through our trusted services at Alabama Wildlife Pro, we have been successfully trapping and removing beavers from residential and commercial properties. We can also discuss any alterations to your property in order to make it an unattractive option for beavers to inhabit.
